Aangezien Colony Studios is opgebouwd uit ervaren personeel dat onderanderen aan games als the World of Warcraft, EVE Online, City of Heroes, Dark Age of Camelot, Lord of the Rings Online, Everquest en Ultima Online teams heeft meegewerkt verwacht men dat dit een nieuwe topper gaat worden. Men wil ondanks het ervaren team echter niet 'safe' spelen door een standaard MMORPG te ontwikkelen.
